“ For Oct. 11- Fish House Grill is a fun place to go see “the Bar Harbor show” and enjoy some fresh seafood eats while you’re at it. We had a grand time people and activity watching from our seaside perch. We went with the FHG Fish Tacos and Haddock Sandwich which were both tasty and very good. The Bar Island Ice Teas we had went down nicely. Very much recommended. ”

“ We had a great time here. The seating is great as you are on the pier, even if it's windy a bit. The host was great even when we told her they forgot the dressing on the bloody mary. I had a blueberry mojito, which was generous in alcohol. For food, we took bacon wrapped scallops as an entry. After that, my wife took the lobster bisque, and it was great. I tried the linguini with white clam sauce, which was great to try for someone who is not a fan of clams. All in all, a great dinner! ”

“ Staff was nice food was good. My husband had the lobster roll and fries. He liked it. I had the fish tacos. I ate one it was good but couldn’t eat the second. I prefer my fish fried with tarter sauce lol but the tacos weren’t bad just trying something new! Had the real ale, great beer. ”

“ I really enjoyed this meal! I had the New England Lobster bake with Lobster, Clams, mussels, corn and potatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty! We also enjoyed the fresh calamari and Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Maple. The blueberry pie and blueberry crumple were also great! ”

“ For reference: I am traveling via a cruiseline and arrived to the restaurant on foot; opinions based off my normal experiences in SC and I cannot provide info on parking I'm surprised that this place doesn't have higher reviews, and some of the 1 star reviews seem unnecessarily harsh. The food was absolutely amazing and a highlight of our day. We got the clam chowder, lobster bisque, chicken tenders (buffalo style), meat sandwich (kind of like a Philly Cheese Steak), and the blueberry pie. Honestly, this place helped me realize my love for clam chowder and I was told by my father that the lobster bisque was some of the best he'd ever had. My fiance loved the sandwich (I stole a few bites and was impressed) as the meat wasn't dry, though, I would've liked a little more cheese or maybe some mayo. The fries were also very good. The best part for my group was the blueberry pie (I'm not big into sweets) with the blueberry icecream. Pricing was pretty on-par with the area, I think. We had a poor experience with lobster at a different restaurant the previous stop (also Maine) so we avoided ordering similar food. I will say that my only complaint was the staff, as they weren't necessarily friendly nor unfriendly, just sort of bland. But I suppose you go out to eat for the food, not the staff. The location was perfect, too - right next to the seaport to get back on our ship. Overall, if we visit again we'll definitely go back! ”

“ Everything About this was just fantastic for all 4 of us. The Atmosphere was Clean ,Our Server was so Efficient and Nice. The food was delicious. We would recommend it to anyone in the area. Im not a big lobster person, but i tried my S.O Lobster Bisque anyway, and it was so good, especially with the garlic toast they give you with the Mussels. ( Ask for a side order of garlic bread. If you order a soup, you won't regret it!) The Mussels here are my #1 choice if i ever get the chance to come back to ME. I've eaten them 3 days in a row in different locations and they are it! For 4 of us we spent 240 before tip, We each had 1 bar drink, ordered 2 apps for the table, 2 cups/1 bowl of soup, and 4 Entrees ”
